SIG provides academically advanced students with an interesting and challenging educational experience. The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) began in 1984 with a single session in New Jersey and has expanded over the past 35 summers to include 8 residential sessions in 6 states offering overnight and day options for students ages 9-17, and 11 additional day-only programs for commuting students ages 5-12. SIG Investigators Program: Three-week summer sessions for gifted students ages 5-12* wanting to participate in captivating courses built to enhance existing talents while remaining in the local community. Residential, Day, and Day + Evenings & Saturdays options are available. SIG Innovators Program: Three-week summer sessions for gifted students ages 9-17* held at some of the most prestigious campuses nationwide. SIG summer programs combine academics with social, cultural and recreational opportunities for a truly engaging summer.

The SIG STEAM+ curriculum focuses on applying creative thinking across multiple disciplines to solve real-world problems. SIG offers unique programming for gifted and talented students ages 5-17 during the summer and school year.
